Class description

'Weaving Wednesday' Beginner basket making. Come and join Clare Shilvock from Warwickshire Willow to weave a basket from locally grown willow. Perfect for gathering and storing your foraged treasures. Learn traditional basketry techniques in this immersive, fun, full day of weaving, Adults only. £105. Minimum class size 4. Maximum 8. This workshop is suitable for beginners or people who have done some willow weaving before. Because willow bark contains salicin, this workshop is not suitable for those who are allergic or sensitive to salicylates (such as aspirin). All materials, tuition, use of tools and lights refreshments are included. Please bring glasses (if you need them for close-up work). Wear old clothes (or bring an apron) and covered, flat shoes (no sandals or open toes).
